"When Health Begins" Brochure/Poster
This seven-page brochure, available soon at no charge in PDF format with and without references, explains some of the ways a mother's health and nutrition may predispose her baby to lifelong health or an increased risk of chronic disease. It also introduces the importance of prenatal education, explains the theory of fetal programming, and briefly summarizes several specific examples of the lifelong health effects associated with preconception and prenatal events.
The brochure also describes how lifelong health begins long before pregnancy, during pregnancy, and during infancy.
Page seven provides a miniature version of a 25-inch by 22.5-inch poster suitable for hanging on bulletin boards or classroom walls, asking and answering the vital question, "When does health begin?" and referring viewers to EHD's website for more information.
