Crystalline inclusions in the cytoplasm of a 16-cell embryo

High power TEM of a section of a blastomere of a stage 2, 16-cell embryo in vivo (original magnification x30,000). Crystalline inclusions (Cr) are present throughout the cytoplasm of the blastomeres.
