Outer view of embryo

An outer view of the embryo viewed from slightly below the endometrial surface. The embryo is represented as a stippled lobulated mass implanted in endometrial stroma at a point approximately equidistant from the two lateral glands. The two masses of trophoblast, on either side of the central gland, have been distorted by the latter and are flowing around this obstruction.
