T-2 - T-3 intercrest region, T-3 dermatome, allantois, amnion, common coelom, common umbilical vein, ependymal layer, glomerular capsule, gonadal epithelium, left umbilical vein, mantle layer, marginal layer, mesonephros, mesothelium, midgut-hindgut junction, mucoid connective tissue, notochord, postcardinal vein, primitive filum terminale, right umbilical vein, tail bud, tailgut lumen, umbilical cord, ventral segmental artery

A section through the T-2–T-3 intercrest region, the caudal tip of the notochord and the mid- and hindgut junction

Observe:
1. The lumen of the tailgut.
2. The close association of the notochord with the primitive filum terminale dorsally and the tailgut ventrally.
3. The attachment of the amnion to the ventral body wall at the umbilical cord.
4. The larger size of the right umbilical vein compared to the left umbilical vein.
5. A ventral segmental artery.
