S-4 spinal ganglion, T-10 spinal ganglion, T-11 spinal nerve, T-9 spinal ganglion, axial artery, dorsal aorta, gluteal mesoderm, left umbilical artery, metanephric diverticulum, metanephrogenic mass, notochord, peritoneal cavity, postcardinal vein, primitive foot plate, primitive renal plexus, right common iliac artery, splanchnic nerve, sympathetic trunk

A section through the T-9 and S-4 spinal ganglia.

Observe:
1. A splanchnic nerve coursing from the sympathetic trunk to the dorsal aorta.
2. The left metanephric diverticulum approaching the metanephrogenic mass.
3. The blind dilated portion of the diverticulum called the primitive renal pelvis, which is surrounded by the metanephrogenic mass.
4. The right common iliac artery is continuous with the right umbilical artery in Section 35.
