C-7 spinal ganglion, arch of aorta, clavicle, digit 1, digit 2, edge of pericardial cavity, episternal cartilage, esophageal endoderm, internal jugular vein, junction of brachiocephalic artery and aortic arch, junction of left common carotid artery and aortic arch, lateral nasal elevation, lateral ventricle, left brachiocephalic vein, mantle layer, marginal layer, marginal vein, maxillary prominence of pharyngeal arch 1, maxillonasal groove, medial nasal elevation, nasal capsule condensation, nasal fin remnant, phrenic nerve, primitive nasal cavity, primitive palate, primitive rima oris, retropharyngeal space, rhomboid muscles, right brachiocephalic vein, subclavian artery, sympathetic trunk, tip of mandibular processes, vagus nerve (CN X), vertebral artery

A section through the aortic arch and the tip of the mandibular process.

Observe:
1. The relation of the nasal elevations to the maxillary process.
2. The primordium of the second digit of the hand.
3. The clavicle joining the episternal cartilage.
4. The junctions of the brachiocephalic and left common carotid arteries with the aortic arch.
5. The close relation of the left vagus nerve to the aortic arch.
