T- 9 transverse process, T-9 spinal ganglion, aorta, body of pancreas, body of stomach, celiac artery, celiac ganglion, colon, duodenum, edge of rib 9, greater splanchnic nerve, head of pancreas, head of rib 10, herniated jejunum and ileum, inferior vena cava, infra-umbilical area, jejunum, left crus of diaphragm, left umbilical artery, liver, mesentery, posterior intercostal artery, rib 10, right umbilical artery, splenic artery and vein, superior mesenteric artery, superior mesenteric vein, suprarenal cortex, suprarenal medulla, sympathetic trunk, urachus

A section through the celiac and T-9 spinal ganglia.

Observe:
1. The obliterated segment of the allantois or urachus between the umbilical arteries.
2. The superior mesenteric artery and vein coursing dorsal to the pancreas between its head and body.
3. The celiac artery surrounded by the celiac ganglion.
4. The cortex and medulla of the suprarenal gland and the close relation between the medulla and the celiac ganglion.
5. The diaphragmic crus or muscle band on each side of the aorta as it enters the abdominal cavity.
