Chorionic duct

A section including several villi and a detached chorionic duct (Ch. D.). The latter extends through 20 sections and its lumen is continuous at both ends with the intervillus space. Strands of angioblastic cells are visible in the mesodermal cores of the villi. A large blood sinus (Bl. Sin.) is situated close to the embryo. Section 166.
