   — I breathe much more often than I used to, even without air. (7 months 2 wks)

   — Sudden, loud noise causes me to squint and jump. (6 months)
   — My lungs are making a substance necessary for breathing after birth. (6 months)

Went to my Ob and had internal U/S. Baby looked like teddy bear. HB 178bpm. Sooooo adorable. :)   [Post a comment]


On September 08, 2006 the 9th week begins.   2.5 cm (1 inch)

   — I open my mouth and can even move my tongue. (9 wks)
   — I have eyelids, but they are fused shut. (9 wks)
   — I can drink whenever I want. (9 wks)
   — I sigh, stretch, and move my head. (9 wks)
   — My ovaries now contain early reproductive cells. (9 wks)
   — For some reason, I love sucking my thumb. Usually the right one. (9 wks)
   — Did you know I can grab things? (9 wks)

   — My hands touch each other, as do my feet! (7 wks, 4 days)
   — My new knee joints help me bend my legs. (7 wks, 4 days)
   — Two hands, five free fingers each, what fun! (7 wks, 4 days)
   — I have ten free toes and they're beautiful! (7 wks, 6 days)
   — I breathe in and out once in a while, even without air. (8 wks)
   — My skin is getting thicker, and harder to see through. (8 wks)
   — I often prefer moving one hand more than the other. (8 wks)
   — I'm making testosterone like dad. (8 wks)
   — I roll over and can even do flips! (8 wks)
   — My joints are a lot like my parent's joints. (8 wks)
   — I already have more than 4,000 body parts-- 500 more to go! (8 wks)
   — Today I am a little embryo. But tomorrow I'll be a big fetus. (8 wks)
   — My hair is starting to grow on my brow and near my mouth. (8 wks)

   — Now I have brains AND brainwaves! (6 wks, 2 days)
   — My first bones are forming in my collar bones and jaw. (6 wks, 4 days)
   — Something else is moving. It's my hands! (6 wks, 4 days)
   — My heart is almost complete. (7 wks)
   — I have testes. Only boys have them. (7 wks)
   — I'm a big girl. Of course I have ovaries. (7 wks)
   — I can turn my head from side to side. (7 wks)
   — As the notches in my hands and feet grow, so do my fingers and toes. (7 wks)
   — Sometimes I hiccup, sometimes I don't. (7 wks)

   — Joints are forming in my wrists. (5 wks, 1 day)
   — I have feet but no toes. (5 wks, 2 days)
   — I twitched for the first time! (5 wks, 5 days)
   — You can see all four chambers of my heart. (5 wks, 6 days)
   — If my face is touched, I turn away. (6 wks)
   — Someday, my new diaphragm will breathe real air. (6 wks)
   — The nerve connections in my spine are forming. (6 wks)
   — I've been told I have nice ears. (6 wks)
   — My belly now has an appendix. (6 wks)

   — My lungs are sectioned just like a grownups. (5 wks)

   — Some of my cells make a hormone that triggers a positive pregnancy test. (8 days)
   — Great news! I'm surrounded by food!
   — Soon I'll float in the amniotic sac which is now forming. (10 days)
   — I am now firmly established in my mother's womb. (12 days)
   — My body is now symmetrical about the midline. (13 days)

   — All of us begin as one very special cell! (Age: 0 days)
   — I started with one cell, now I have two. (30 to 36 hours)
   — Some say I look like a tiny bunch of grapes. I know I look great! (3 days)
   — You can already see where my chest and back will grow. (4 days)
   — I hope I land in a good spot for the next nine months. (6 days)
