C-3 dermatome, C-4 dermatome, C-4 neural crest, blood cells, conus cordis, dorsal intersegmental artery, fusion of dorsal aortas, lamina terminalis, left common cardinal vein, pericardial cavity, pericardioperitoneal canal, postcardinal vein, primitive left ventricle, right atrium, right hepatocardiac vein, right horn of sinus venosus, right venous valve, sinu-atrial orifice, sinus venosus

A section through the C-4 neural crest and the cranial part of the primitive left ventricle.

Observe:
1. The cranial end of the prosencephalon called the lamina terminalis.
2. The junction of the right hepatocardiac vein with the sinus venosus.
3. The temporary fusion of the dorsal aortas.
4. The origin of a dorsal intersegmental artery.
